About this event

Abstract
Machine Vision fuses a variety of technologies and methods to enable precise measurements and automated decisions.  As the word “vision” implies, optical and photonic technologies are employed, managed, and read-out by a “machine”, which applies software and firmware based algorithms before making decisions and taking actions. Vision Optronix is a developer and integrator of Machine Vision Systems, who has developed a highly-configurable Machine Vision (MV) platform. In the past year, Vision Optronix completed the configuration and installation of one of our MV platforms to address a challenging and costly issue related to the manufacture of pressure-sensitive adhesives for medical applications. This configuration of our MV platform will be presented, inviting interaction about the many aspects of this technology implementation.

Speakers Bio
David M. (Dave) Dozor is the founder of Vision Optronix.  As an engineer and leader, he has spent years developing and commercializing advanced technologies and also leading the programs and companies charged with delivering these.  Some areas of experience include; Semiconductor Lithography, Packaging and Assembly, Test and Inspection; Space-, Air-, and ‘Lab’-borne instruments; and Large Scale Coordinate Metrology, among others.  Dave holds a BS and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University and an MBA from MIT-Sloan.  (But really, he’s just an applied physics technophile looking to bring value to people.)
